"im a tiny gladiator in a suit"

hallezmonroe:

Wow. First I would like to say Happy Scandal Thursday!! For the past year now I’ve been a huggggee fan of this amazing, shocking, juicy thriller Scandal. This show is hands down the best show on TV. Period. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching this show. I laughed, cried, yelled, cursed, and most of all tweeted every Thursday. To the cast and crew of Scandal if we all had a thousand tongues per gladiator we wouldn’t be able to say thank you enough! Y’all made us feel like a part of the show! The kind tweets and video chats really made it special. Not only did y’all give us all of your hard work and dedication, you also gave us a family. Yes, I know that sounds crazy giving the fact that I haven’t met majority of my scandal sisters and gladiators but I have met some fantastic people on twitter and tumblr. Once again thank you for the love and dedication y’all put into Scandal. On behalf of every single gladiator, old, young, black, white, Hispanic, short, tall etc. Y’all handled season 2! Cheers to season 3 and beyond!
Xoxo

Is 'Scandal' too soapy to win Emmys? →

To put it in a succinct way, to answer the question: yes, it is. And it’s not bias, it’s RIGHT attitude toward writing (the soap opera writing) that isn’t and will never be at the same level as actually compelling, consistent, soap-opera-stunt-free writing.

Scandal is probably too soapy to be considered emmy worthy? But so were Grey’s Anatomy, Desperate Housewives and  Brothers and Sisters (My personal favorite) and they all broke through. It might take a few seasons but it’ll probably come around. If they can take the writing back to season one and first half season two writing it can happen. Just a matter of throwing cold water on suds.

amen to awl of THISS^^. If Hayden can get a golden globe nomination for Nashville why can’t Kerry? I’ll wait…

Already making excuses as to why they will be snubbed. I will be royally pissed off. If Scandal is a soap then all of the prime time shows are fucking soaps.

Well said!

And let’s be real here. Homeland was soapy as shit this year and they are still getting nominated left and right for everything. Lol

^^^Listen here (LOL), Homeland is good as shit!! lmao!  SR wants an award? BLOW UP EVERYDAMNBODY, have Liv and Fitz say deuces as they cryptwalk to the alter and get married, Quinn becomes a badass killer and drills so many holes in Charlie that he becomes SpongeBob’s long lost twin, and Huck gets out the damn corner, Abby gets her life and Harrison takes anger management classes and takes off his shirt and/or pants…Hell Mellie gets nonFitz peen or vage (whatevs)…All that happens, SR can have every award she dreams of…til then, have all the seats in the universe Shonda.  That is all.

The thing I hate about this is that Scandal didn’t have to join in the soap opera world. The setting and premise for Scandal was/is perfect for actually telling stories that are not soapy. For telling stories that takes time to tell but would be ground-breaking and intelligent.

Shonda’s idea of a divorce president would have been great without being soapy, if she didn’t make it about Olitz but about how a president who come to a point where he can’t handled the political marriage he entered into in order to gain the presidency. If she makes it about how Americans would react during this event and how the president and his people would work at trying to change the narrative in their favor. So that Americans can accept having a president who is essentially human like all Americans therefore is making decisions that at least 50% of Americans have made in their life-time when they made a mistake in who they decided to marry.

But instead she is giving us Olivia’s soapy Dad.  Mellie going national tv to call her husband out because she wants that husband to love and want her. Fitz kneeing in front of Mellie. The Jake story-line…etc She is wasted the great premise she set-up.

Basically Shonda decided to give us “shock’ and “awe” in the soapy way, instead of the intelligent way.

I would kill to know what they were up to before they came out.

Me and thee … ;-)

The mirroring is subconscious. Most of the time it’s Tony following her lead but he honestly doesn’t even know he’s doing it. It’s just the cutest thing!!!! GAAAHHHHH!!!!

why aren’t these being reblogged more often?i rather see these than “keys in hand”

Fatality

Umm so since I’m stupid could someone kindly explain each step for me like step 3 am i head butting him in the face or the chest?

I think it depends on the height of the person, but I suppose the head is a more effective target. I hope this helps :)

Step 1: Step back the moment he reaches for you.
Step 2: Duck!
Step 3: Head butt him in the chin. It’s very important that it is the chin and not the chest because it is much more uncomfortable and disorienting to have your teeth bang together especially if it cuts his tongue (which it will if it is in the way). More than likely height won’t matter. He will be leaning forward from the missed attempt at grabbing you.
Step 4: Knee him in the balls.
Step 5: When he doubles over, jab him on his back. I believe at the base of the neck just above the shoulder blades would be best. I’m not an expert, but this seems like the best place, imo.
Step 6: Don’t lose contact. Bring your other hand over and slam your hands against the sides of his heads as hard as possible. Right on the ears is the best place; it is extremely disorienting if done correctly. Then take his head and bring it down on your knee as you bring your knee up. It’s very important that you avoid the nose because if you knee his nose it will definitely break and more than likely the bones will stab his brain killing him, so aim for his mouth instead.
Step 7: Keep your knee up and bring your foot out to kick him over. Personally, I don’t like the image because it looks like she kicked him with her toes. You do not want to do that. Instead kick him with the ball or heel of your foot and put power behind it with a push.
Step 8: He is on the ground. You could probably stop here and he would get the picture, but if you really want to…Your leg is still in the air from the kick. With all your force slam the edge of your your heel on his side. It will be more effective if you lower your body first by bending at the knee of the leg your weight is on. Done right, you can break a rib or two.

reblogging again for that^
